Part One: Citype
Type Design, Illustration

2025
Both cities and words share a language of connection. Just as individual letters come together to form words and sentences, people gather to build cities and communities. Buildings relate to one another like parts of a conversation, and the city unfolds like one giant, readable sentence.

This project explores the metaphorical parallels between urban space and linguistic structure through
a custom-designed typeface inspired by architectural line drawings. Each letterform contains hidden landmarks from cities around the world that correspond to its alphabet.

Building on her typeface design, she created a foldable informational poster that explains her inspiration, design process, and the unique features of the typeface. The front highlights the title and her intended visual style, while the back provides detailed background information.

Part Three: Make Your City Web
Web Design
2025
For further engagement, an interactive website was developed, allowing users to type their own city or even an imaginary one, using the Citype typeface and download it as a PNG file. By toggling the interactive button in the top navigation, both Day and Night versions are available for download.
