What Was Once There Exhibition Design 2025 How will the future remember what we overlooked? What Was Once There imagines a museum set in the year 2107, reflecting on the 21st century through a series of speculative artifacts. The exhibition presents four objects that trace how environmental change quietly reshaped social structures and everyday life between 2000 and 2100.
Recreated through 3D printing, the artifacts frame the present as something already historical, revealing how survival, labor, and access became unevenly distributed.
This project was developed collaboratively with Janice Lee and Rachel Shin.
